It's the S.S. Drake from the planet Koppai, from Pikmin 3.

Yet the setting doesn't look like Koppai in the picture, so it could be a different stage entirely.

What could it mean for Smash? Well, just about anything, and I don't care much to speculate, considering my lack of familiarity with the source material, since Pikmin 3 isn't released in my country yet.
