Wii Fit Trainer Confirmed as a Playable Character!

Wow. I sure wasn't expecting this! A new character confirmation within a DAY!? Wow, that's awesome.

Anyways, Wii Fit Trainer is in Smash Bros. now. Talk about a total curveball! I bet no one was expecting her of all people!

Wii U Version:

What do all of these shots have in common? The fact that she is never in the same pose twice.

Given how she (somehow) dodges Link's sword in the second shot, and the character's radically different poses, I'm speculating that maybe she's controlled by the Balance Board, and you can do whatever pose you want!

That's just a guess though. It wouldn't be the first time that there has been a "gimmicky" character in Smash. Look at Ice Climbers, Shiek, Pokémon Trainer, and Olimar for precedents.

Though I don't know whether or not Nintendo would make you go out and buy a separate accessory just for one character. That's the only bit of doubt in my mind.

But you know what the real selling point is? Like Villager, she has not been seen in any 3DS shots. If she is controlled by the Balance Board after all, it would have to be on the Wii U, leading me to believe that much like Villager, this character is exclusive to the Wii U Version.

Oh, and we get a new stage in the second and fourth shots.

The eighth looked like a new stage at first, but I'm pretty sure it's the same as the one in the second and fourth, with the background just changing over time.
